TRIP DISRUPTIONS

Alternatives due to flight disruptions:

Weather conditions in the Himalayas can change rapidly, which can result in us needing to make new arrangements quickly. Flights throughout Nepal, particularly in high mountain areas, can be delayed or cancelled due to poor weather conditions. We will attempt to get on the next possible flight to the planned flight, but itineraries are subject to change with flight availability.

If no flights (either plane or helicopter) are possible three days after the intended departure to Lukla, we will travel by road to Phaplu (approximately 9 hours drive by private vehicle) and then trek to Tengboche on the Everest Base Camp route, via Lukla.

If you are booked on a Trek-Only Everest Base Camp tour, we advise allowing a couple of extra days in Kathmandu at the end of your trip should your return flights from Lukla be delayed due to weather conditions.
